350+ word part 2 thingy

I’m honestly not sure where to start on this project, and it isn’t due to my opinion of the options being limited. It’s the fact that the ideas we are supposed to figure out a plan of action for were shut down by Margie herself. Included in this is more advertising. She said during presentations that they already spend $50,000/year on the Fargo Forum alone. This would lead one to believe that advertising that costs any money at all would not be feasible. The only idea here is advertising differently, however, with the theatre not offering anything different as far as services go it’ll be nearly impossible to attract students to come. The problem here is that people are seemingly afraid of change. More advertising is, in my opinion, a pure waste of money and time. Students are not going to come if there isn’t something they are interested in going on. The idea of a student coupon bringing in students is also unrealistic. Offering buy 5 movies get one free isn’t going to make people want to come. You could offer a lot of the things at the Fargo Theatre for free to students and they still wouldn’t come simply because they are uninterested. I do agree that a slogan of some sort or two different identities such as mentioned in my proposal would be beneficial, however, what slogan are we going to implement? Do people really think that giving a slogan to something that isn’t attractive will suddenly make people want to come? Given the option to advertise more, I suggest that we advertise different things to do at the theatre that have not been offered in the past because advertising current events is obviously not working. In summary, I’d like to say that the options given to us with this limits us immensely. Basically, this is just an attempt to put a bandage on what is going to become a bigger problem. In the end, one must realize that if there isn’t any change within the events themselves, there won’t be any success to be had. This is why I suggest that advertising different events would be the best way to do things. In addition, it would help public relations and word of mouth advertising if the idea is popular.

200+ word blogski on the fargo theatre situation

The first thing that must be done is brainstorming because it allows one to creatively come up with ideas that, while thinking carefully, may not come up. This includes everything from ideas on what the theatre should do physically, actually, and spiritedly. After coming up with a bunch of ideas and WRITING THEM DOWN, take the ones that are believed to be the best and test to see how they would work in not only today’s world, but in the future. After finishing up with brainstorming, one needs to look and see if the ideas would literally work. They need to take into consideration all outside factors which affects the theatre, solely. An example of this could be the limited amount of parking space the theatre has at its disposal.

The bottom line is that the ultimate goal is to not only make the Fargo Theatre do well when it comes to money, but also make it so future generations will appreciate it. As the theatre sits right now, it was revamped for older generations. Nothing about it attracts younger generations. One thing that has to change is the idea that something classical can’t become temporarily modern. Cheap decorations and lighting can make the difference between a classical to a modern scene. It also needs to not be seen as selling out. It needs to be seen as forwarding the theatre’s availability for future generations. If no interest is sparked in the theatre soon, all will be lost and what effort has been put into saving it will be a waste.

my career........y0

Though I am involved in school activities presently, I believe my career will go far. I believe I will start out small in the business world and work my way to the top one way or another. Where or what profession I have yet to decide and really look into. Optimally, for a job, I'd love to be an auto reviewer type of person, such as the guys on the show "Top Gear." All they do for a living is get to do fun things with cars and get paid $100k+. My main problem with all of this is figuring out how I can get to that point. It seems so far away yet so close that I don't know what should be my next step in order to achieve this goal. Anway, it may be a long shot, but it's definatly something to go for. How many people can say they drive a car for a living? Exactly, not many...that's the problem.

However, if I could guess a way to the top, I would have to say my first step after graduating would be becoming a writer for some small magizine. Salaries here are quite small, around the $30k/year area, however, like most professions, one has to start on the bottom. Jobs are available all around the U.S. and so is training (professional driving schools). Online information that is researched heavily is reliable because it has two things going for it. One, it deals with people that actually are living what one is researching, and in addition to that, it has vast amounts of trial and error information.

There are a few more sights but I believe that one got straight to the point.
